Do I need to book an appointment to try on?

Yes, try on appointments are available at our Tanawha Studio on the Sunshine Coast, QLD. Please click the book try on button to see our full availability.

Can I have a dress posted to me?

We ship Australia wide. All rentals will be shipped via Australia Post in an express post satchel, with a prepaid return satchel included.

Am I responsible for dry cleaning?

No, dry cleaning costs are included in the hire fee. Simply return your outfit as is and we will handle the rest! Please do not attempt to clean any garments yourself.

Can I book a backup dress?

No, unfortunately we do not currently offer a back up dress option.

What if the dress doesn't fit?

Individual garment sizes are listed in the product description. We try to include sizes and the designers recommended measurements on all listings. We are happy to answer any questions about sizing, please use the contact us page to get in touch.

Unfortunately, due to the lengths we go to trying to ensure sizing information is available, we do not issue refunds for ill fitting items.

What if I no longer need the dress I have booked?

Please contact us regarding the cancellation of your hire. See our cancellation policy below.

If you wish to cancel your hire up to 2 weeks (14 days) before the start date, we offer a full refund to your original payment method.

Between 13 to 7 days before the start date we offer a gift card for the full hire fee, excluding the cancellation fee ($25).

For cancellations less than 6 days before the start date we offer a gift card for 50% of the full hire fee, excluding the cancellation fee ($25).

Once your order has already been shipped (usually 1-3 days and up to a week before start date depending on your location) we can no longer issue any type of refund or gift card.

Can I buy a dress?

We offer some of our stock for sale via the for sale menu at the top of the page. Alternatively, contact us for further purchase enquiries.

What do I do if the post office is closed on my return date?

If your rental finishes on a Sunday, public holiday or day that your nearest post office is closed, simply ensure the parcel is returned to the post office by the following business day at 4pm.

What can I do if my garment arrives creased?

We clean and steam all garments before your hire. If the garment arrives creased due to postage handling, please do not iron. You may steam with a clothes steamer. Alternatively, hang the garment in the bathroom while you shower. The steam can help to remove creases.

Can I have a dress altered?

Under no circumstances must you make any alterations or changes to a garment. Upon return if any alterations or damage have been caused to the garment, you will be charged for the full cost of replacing the item. The garment will then be posted back to you for you to keep.

What if I mark or damage the dress while wearing it?

Please notify us immediately of any marks or damage. If our dry cleaners know what caused the marks, they have a much better chance of being able to remove it. Once the dress is returned, we will employ our best efforts to clean or repair the garment. We cover the costs for all minor repairs; eg. replacing or reattaching a button, however, If the damage is irreparable, you will be charged for the full cost of replacing the item. The garment will then be posted back to you for you to keep.

Terms & Conditions

By renting a garment or accessory from Outfit of the Day, I hereby accept and agree to the following terms and conditions outlined below: 
    •    Orders can be placed in person at our Tanawha studio or online at www.outfitofthedaysc.com.au (http://www.outfitofthedaysc.com.au/).  Order is only confirmed once payment is received in full. 
 
    •    We recommend, where possible, customers plan ahead.  We accept orders up to 6 months in advance. 
 
    •    Our Standard rental periods are 4 or 7 days, for entended rental periods please enquire via the Contact us Page. 
 
    •    Orders will only be packed and posted on Weekdays. 
 
    •    All postage orders are shipped via Australia Post in an Express Post Satchel, with a prepaid return satchel included. 
 
    •    All Garment cleaning fees are covered in the rental fee, no attempt is to be made to clean any garments yourself. 

 •    I will immediately notify Outfit of the Day of any damage that occurs to the garment during the hire period.  Any rips, tears or damage will result in a charge to cover the cost of repair. 
 
    •    If a garment is considered beyond repair, I understand I will be charged full RRP to replace the item. 
 
    •    I understand and agree to the refund eligibility policy, including the cancellation fees and Gift Card terms outlined by Outfit of the Day. 
 
      •    Bookings can be cancelled 14 days prior to the rental start date, and you will be entitled to a full refund, including any postage fees paid. 

    •    Bookings Cancelled 13 - 7 prior to the rental start date, will be entitled to a Store Credit in the form of a non-expiring Gift Card for the value of the rental fee and any postage paid LESS a cancellation fee of $25. 

    •    Bookings Cancelled 6 or less days of the rental start date, will be entitled to a store credit in the form of a non-expiring Gift Card for 50% of the value of the rental fee and any postage fees paid LESS a cancellation fee of $25. 

    •    Once a Booking has been posted (usually 1-3 days prior to rental start date, but up to 7 days – depending on your location) It cannot be cancelled. 
 
    •    We do not refund for change of mind, cancellation of your event or fit of garment. 
 
    •    All garment sizes (as per the garment size tag and conversion to Australian sizing by designers) has been included in the product description, including any body measurements as per the designer's websites.  Please ask any sizing questions prior to booking, we do not refund if an ordered garment does not fit. 
 
    •    All in person rentals are to be returned to our Tanawha studio before 4pm on the rental return date.  Postage orders are to be returned in the provided prepaid return satchel on the rental return date by 4pm over the counter at any Australia Post office, Or Yellow Express Post Box. 
 
    •    If your Postage orders rental return date is a public holiday or weekend, it is to be returned on the next business day. 
 
    •    Failure to return garments on rental return date will incur a late fee of $20 on a per day basis.  The daily charge will continue until the garment is returned. 
 
    •    All items are professionally cleaned and repaired prior to bookings, I acknowledge and accept the possibility of minor imperfections and the condition of hired items due to previous use. 
 
    •    Your Personal information will be handled in accordance with privacy principles.

The item must be returned in its original condition including packaging. Outfit of the Day reserves the right to deny a return if any item are returned used, soiled, worn or damaged in any way
these will be returned to the sender.
You will be notified if your item is not suitable for the exchange/Credit.
The cost of return shipping is at the customer’s expense and is non-refundable.
We recommend sending items through traceable mail.
 
There are strictly no returns or exchanges on any items purchased at Outfit of the Days Tanawha location.
